Today’s “Vortex” Breakfast was indeed a spur of the moment urge to record the sunrise on this day January 29, 2019…a fridge morning in the low 40s that prompted me to warm myself with a hot plate of fresh scrambled eggs with chives from my garden along with sauteed fresh mushrooms and tomatoes.
I named my breakfast “Vortex” for the sub-zero weather most folks were encountering up in the Northeast. An extremely unusual Arctic blast was plummeting temperatures into sub-30s and 40s in some places. Having lived in that region for a great deal of my life, I knew what temperatures like that could feel like. And here I am in SW Florida complaining about temperatures in the low 40s. Your blood thins as they say down here. In any event, watch this video I recorded earlier this morning and see how I prepared my “Vortex” breakfast!
So, I pulled out my 12′ Calphalon non-stick pan and went to work!
