Even though we live in Florida where it’s seems like the endless Summer, we do have seasons as slight as they are. But now there were in June, I think back to the many fond memories of living in the Hamlet of Pultneyville, New York o the shores of Lake Ontario. It was wonderful times spending weekends with family and friends on our sprawling 10-acre farm. In those days we always grilled everyday. One of our favorites were juicy burgers on the grill. But always adding a number of compliment side dishes. In this feature dish I’m including a family delight of homemade potato salad served warm, delicious mixed slices of heirloom tomatoes drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar sprinkled with fresh basil. I call it the “Classic Backyard Burger Deluxe!” It’s timeless!
Grilling is 2nd nature to us. My husband Rob loves it and especially our outdoor kitchen outfitted with many Luxor cooking and food preparation products. The 42″ propane grill is his favorite. He used it to grill these burgers to perfection! Here’s the link:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon finely minced fresh garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
- Preheat grill to high
- In a medium bowl, lightly mix together the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Form into 3 patties, handling the meat minimally. Brush both sides of each patty with some oil, and season with seasoned salt.
- Place the patties on the grill grate, and cook for about 4 minutes per side, until medium rare.
